The Thaw (2022)

Still reeling from her husband’s death, Detective Katarzyna Zawieja launches an investigation into a murder of a young woman and her missing newborn.

Zawieja investigates the links between the murder and the suspicious debts and business dealings of the victim’s husband Kosiński.

As Zawieja and Trepa search for links between the victim and former patients at a psychiatric hospital where she worked, Strzelecki receives a suspicious package.

As the police launch a search for Wróbel, one of the victim’s patients, Zawieja visits the prison where he once served time.

The day of Magda’s funeral leads Zawieja on a dangerous chase for her killer, but an interrogation with an inmate at Goleniów prison breeds new clues – and increased suspicions.

While Strzelecki takes charge of the case, a dangerous trip to a remote island brings Zawieja closer than ever to the truth.
