Almost Happy (2020)

Sebastián leverages tickets to a Paul McCartney concert to flirt with a young secretary. But it's his ex-wife, Pilar, who still has him intrigued.

A comedy gig that Sebastián doesn't really want to do conflicts with a big soccer game, and the decision about what to do is full of significance.

Sebastián runs into his high school girlfriend after 30 years, and she's still holding a grudge because he kept their relationship a secret.

An old friend wants Sebastián to do a monologue at her elderly father's birthday gala. A reluctant Sebastián agrees, with baleful consequences.

When Sebastián learns about a friend's separation, he remembers years back when his ex, Pilar, tried to get him to break their intimate routines.

Sebastián's ineptness with the children threatens to upend a much needed day off for Pilar to try new things.

When Gastón, Sebastián's brother, shows up on his way to Madrid, Sebastián feels the urge to vent about how they relate to each other.

Before he leaves for Madrid, Gastón resists seeing family and insists he and Sebastián party together, even after his recent medical incident.

As Sebastián realizes he never wanted to separate from Pilar, she calls him urgently. But what she has to say is the last thing Sebastián expects.

Sebastián seems to be getting hit from all sides at once, but he'll have to make the decision on what might be the biggest potential change of all.
